Carolina EyckSoloist Introduction - İngilizce
German-born musician and composer Carolina Eyck is one of the world’s foremost theremin virtuosi. Beginning her training at the age of seven, Carolina studied theremin with Lydia Kavina, the grand-niece of the instrument's inventor, Leon Theremin.
In 2002, Carolina made her debut in the Berliner Philharmonie, performing at the Konzerthaus Berlin the following year. Since then, she has given concerts at the International Music Festival Bohuslav Martinu in Basel, the Davos Festival (Switzerland), with the Hamburg State Opera and the Hamburg Ballet under John Neumeier, at the Museum der Moderne Salzburg (Austria), the National Art Museum Mexico City, Teatro Nacional Lisbon (Portugal), the Palace of Art Budapest (Hungary), and has presented further concerts in Poland, Luxembourg, Sweden, Finland, Great Britain, the United States of America and Pakistan. Carolina has collaborated with famous musicians, conductors and orchestras e. g. Heinz Holliger, Robert Kolinsky, Gerhard Oppitz, the Keller Quartet, Andrey Boreyko, Michael Sanderling, Klauspeter Seibel, Berner Symphonie-Orchester, Philharmoniker Hamburg, Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra (USA) and the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra. In 2009, she was guest musician of the Hamburg Ballet under John Neumeier, performing "The Little Mermaid" by Lera Auerbach in Japan, 2010 and 2011 with the San Francisco Ballet at the War Memorial Opera House, San Francisco. In 2010, Carolina received her bachelor of music in viola at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden (instructor: Henrik Frendin). She was winner of the International Competition for Composers arranged by Radio/TV Berlin-Brandenburg in 2006. In the same year Carolina published her original theremin method book entitled, "The Art of Playing the Theremin”, and has since conducted workshops, lectures and master classes in Germany, Sweden, Poland, Great Britain, the United States of America, Mexico and Japan. Since 2010 she is the artistic director of the Theremin Summer Academy in Colmar, France. In 2012, June 23 Carolina Eyck has been contributed in the world premiere of Fazil Say's Symphony No. 2 "Mesopotamia" Op. 38 as the Theremin Soloist.
